Download Manager for Android is download manager, file manager and Web browser all in one.

Download Manager for Android does a lot more than help you download files, which it does very well. It also assists you with managing those files and has a built-in Web browser. The browser is quite advanced and supports HTML5 and JavaScript. It can even run in the background. Use other apps as this one downloads files to your device or serves as a multimedia player playing songs and music videos.

The app is completely free to use, and the user interface is simple and clean. The program supports a broad range of file types, including APK and compressed folders like ZIP and RAR. Of course, MP3, MP4 and many other music and video types are supported as well. Files can easily be downloaded to internal storage as well as SD cards, and the app has tools for moving and otherwise organizing those files.

Downloads can be paused and resumed. The option to pause is convenient if you need the bandwidth to do something else or find a file you want first. Resuming is a powerful feature not for just when you paused but when a download has been interrupted outside your control.

You can use Download Manager for Android like a traditional Web browser and even download from Facebook, for instance, using built-in support for popular sites. It offers tabbed browsing, bookmark management, auto suggest and even voice commands. The download manage itself supports concurrent downloads, which is limited only by your connection, and you can listen and download at the same time too.

Download Manager for Android is an ambitious app. The developers want to do a lot with it, and that may work against the program at times. There are certainly areas that lack polishing and some users experience crashes to home screen and the like. None of these issues are deal-breakers in our opinion, but it’d be nice if the problems got some serious attention before the next great feature is added.
